He has served five times as Senior Examiner and four times as Baldrige Site Visit Team Leader. He is the only person to serve as a Baldrige Senior Examiner in three different decades. He is also lead assessor for the International Asian Pacific Quality Award (IAPQA) and has served as a Singapore International Assessor in 2008 and 2010.

Assessment approaches include:

• Assessments based a written application - this the classic and most common approach

• Interview assessments which do not require a written application - these are best for organizations desiring an assessment for improvement purposes only and not intending to apply for an award. However, the information captured can be used to immediately produce the final draft of an application as a deliverable saving considerable cycle time and cost resources.

• Gap analysis - this is best when an organization wants rapid identification of their highest priority improvement opportunities

• Onsite assessments including real-time site visit validation - this approach combines the interview assessment with the validation findings from visits with employees and actual review of key processes. Again, the option to immediately generate a final draft of an application is also available.
