Assessment approaches include:

• Gap analysis - when an organization wants rapid identification of their highest priority improvement opportunities

• Standard assessments using a written application - this the classic approach used

• Interview assessments which do not require a written application - these can be done to cover a full Baldrige assessment or to obtain a rapid 'Gap Analysis".

• Onsite assessments including real-time validation
