Firstly, I want to express deep appreciation to Dr. Hesam AREF KASHFI who invited me to speak at the 2008 ISQM APQO Conference in Tehran and who gave me a very warm welcome and provided generous hospitality throughout my first visit to Iran. I am also grateful to Dr. Mahmoud Ghanizadeh of NIPC (National Iran Productivity Centre) who has supported me since 2006 and who made my work with the Ministry of Health, Saipa Automotive Group, and the the Iran Productivity Association (IPA) possible.
