Baldrige Business Organizations

The business organizations were earliest and strongest advocates of using the Baldrige Criteria. Although business organization support remains strong in many countries, applications from this sector have declined sharply in the United States since the mid-1990's. Concerns about the practicality of the Category 6 Baldrige Criteria are mentioned by some Criteria users as a key issue of resistance. However, many businesses continue to use the Criteria for its overall value with modifications where beneficial.

The Baldrige Award is very much about learning and sharing. I have been most fortunate to work directly for more than 7 years with some of the top quality gurus (e.g., Dr. Edwards Deming, Dr. Armand Feigenbaum), dozens of award winners (Europe, Asia, North America, Australasia), and top organization leaders. As the student of these great people and organizations, I am grateful to be able to share with you what I have learned in a practical and valuable manner.
